What to Expect on Sunday Mornings
When you arrive at Central Presbyterian there will be people ready to greet you and help you find your way around the building. Children of all ages are welcome in worship.
Birth to Age 5
If the parents wish, babies, toddlers, and children up to the age of 5 may be signed into the the nursery and childcare room #101 on Sunday mornings. While in the nursery young children will have time to play with one another and enjoy a small snack. Please let us know if you have any allergy concerns. As our littlest ones grow a bit older they are introduced to the love of God through not only the care of the adults in the room, but also through our age-appropriate Sunday school lessons. Your child(ren) will need to be picked up and signed out following worship.
We are excited to see all the younger worshipers back with us and can’t wait to continue our exploration of the Bible with each one of you! Older children join the rest of the congregation in the sanctuary for the first part of the worship service. There is a table in the rear of the sanctuary with supplies you may use to engage your younger family members.
The children go to the Fellowship Hall with their teachers to Sunday School classes at 10:15am after the Children’s Message and choir anthem. Please come to Fellowship Hall to pick up your elementary age children when the service is over.
We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of each month. Children and youth are encouraged to stay for the entire worship service so they may take the sacrament with the congregation. Communion is open and everyone is welcome to participate in this holy feast. On these Sundays, childcare in the nursery for children 5 and younger is available if you wish to utilize it.
We have regular events that seek to involve all those who are or ever were a child! Please check the church calendar or our Facebook page to find out the details about movie nights, service projects, seasonal activities and more!
